Description

FINALLY...I introduce to you the character I've mentioned in other character's information for the passed few years now, Shinkuken!
He does triple duty and shows up on and will be playable on the RPG, Last Legend AND the two fighting games connected to that canon, Concrete Jungle and Hybrids of Steel!
Shinkuken is a roninja who's empowered by and shares his soul with an idol, The Death Phoenix, Xineohp (pronounced Sin-E-Oaf).
He can kill anything and negate healing abilities if he slashes something with his weapon, which he shares his name with.
Even things that are normally immortal. Due to Xineohp, he also has powers are shadowy fire/embery styled, and he leaves black feathers and embers when he teleports and does certain attack effects. Also, his hand works like an interdimensional sheath (ala magic trick, basically).

He can also pull his sword out like a summon, akin to Asura from Samurai Shodown. This was actually pretty much the exact idea I had in mind for how he would too, so I'll just link it:

And then he can also do a "sheathing" and "unsheathing" that works kinda like Hayato's lightsaber does, but Shinkuken instead absorbs the blade into his hand. So basically just a literal interpretation of what Hayato does here:

Speaking of which, Shinkuken's weapon (which, just the same as his name that it's named after, means "Scarlet Blade" or "Crimson Sword"), has a red blade and can be altered in shape and size depending on what's the appropriate use for it. So it can be kodachi (knife) size all the way up to Odachi (basically a massive katana).
Passed that, it has other forms weaponry it can turn into, like a kusarigama with the sickle on the one end and a spiked ball on the other end of the chain for example. As well as being able to magically summon other ninja weaponry like shurikens (inflamed, even) and caltrops.
Oh, and creating flame carpets with caltrops thrown in the middle is a favorite method of setting a trap of his.

The Shinkuken when wielded even in Odachi form, will a lot of the time be used one-handed instead of two (due to his base strength).
Which he'll attack in such a manner that is both technically sound, but also with some unorthodox and nonchalantly attacks.
When idling, he'll let his hand just hangin' down, all swingin' and relaxed. And will adjust/massage his own neck, and all the while tapping his foot on the ground. But here's the funny thing, depending on how long he idles around, he'll say different random lines. Four of which are
"Nice to know ya took a bathroom break."
"Could'a just pressed pause, ya know."
"So, what are we doin' here? Am I gonna kick this chumpstain's ass or just sit around scratchin' my own?"
While the fourth would be him imitating the Street Fighter II pause sound.

Before he fought with and got his powers from Xineohp, Shinkuken was part of a military project and was a hired mercenary to help with "The Golemus Project" which was code-named among the leaders of Cyperion as "Excidium". What he signed up for, was to take care of Olympolis' President. Who, had multiple assassination attempts even by his own people, but ultimately marked for death by Cyperion, as they had a longstanding feud.
They were to go in, use the mecha, Golemus, to go to Olympolis and destroy the capitol city (where him and his peers and stooges were). And that was it.

Now, Shinkuken is actually FROM Olympolis, so he saw this as a way of helping his people get back to having some integrity and level-headed, non-shady leadership finally. To make a long story short, they took the Golemus to Olympolis, and it turns out the guy in charge of the mission (Admiral Gierga), along with some of his underling generals and such, were ordered by Emperor Cyperion not just to kill the President of Olympolis, but to give the whole continent a makeover beyond recognition.

Shinkuken finds this out through murmurs of that plan as he was sneaking around inside the Golemus.
He disagrees with that and then openly contests that plan. Which, per that disagreement, starts a fight with the entire crew. He is then forced to take out the whole crew and lastly gets into a battle with the Admiral in charge.
During the scuffle, Shinkuken near the control panel. Shinkuken then does a Judo roll throw and throws the Admiral into a wall close by the control panel, but not pressing the button (as he fears what that may do).
Shinkuken then goes to stab him, but the Admiral holds onto the blade about to go through him and moves to purposely to push himself into position to make Shinkuken's sword go through the panel and start a short.
The Golemus starts going haywire and shootin' off blasts everywhere.
Shinkuken and the Admiral fight some more, which results in Shinkuken ending up pushing him through the glass, but in such a way that they both break through it and the Admiral's laughing as they're falling hundreds of feet down and then Shinkuken hears the Golemus say "10 SECONDS UNTIL EXCIDIUM".
Shinkuken yells at the Admiral as they're falling down and asks him "What's Excidium?!"
The Admiral says "What we came here for, all along! We're making the world a better place!" and maniacally laughs as he seemingly falling to his doom...
Shinkuken then teleports and ends up on a mountaintop on an island off the coast of the continent of Olympolis, as he sees the place he called home, the place he yearned to make a difference in and correct, was all for naught.
As it burns, the sounds of millions of people screaming as he was instead a pawn in its destruction...

The Admiral though, will actually have just been Odagren in disguise, since he can shapeshift.
He killed and took on the appearance of Admiral Gierga and came up with a plan of his own, that he then told his men of that went on to believe were in fact Emperor Cyperion's orders all along. While Shinkuken was the only one told of the REAL plan of the mission.
Which is actually the reason why Odagren disguised himself as Admiral Gierga and made the situation more destructive than it was supposed to be:
Because Odagren knew it would give Shinkuken a deep hatred and reason to kill him once he was given the chance to upon the reveal and offer. Which he jumps at the opportunity during Last Legend, which is when the game Concrete Jungle takes place.

"The Golemus Project" will happen quite a few years before the main story of Last Legend. But his age doesn't show whatsoever.
Reason being and the thing about Shinkuken is that (just like Drachid, Risk, and Lady Luck) he's a vampire.
He can drain blood for sustenance by either biting (which he rarely ever does) or his preferred way, which is the JoJo Bizarre Adventure inspired style way, where he touches people and his nails can dig into people to drain their blood/life force that way.

For some additional background on why Olympolis will be nicknamed and branded as "The Concrete Jungle", is kind of a double meaning, but mostly because it's just a buncha ruins and everyone and everything left are either mutated (in various and differing ways and degrees), or still fine and normal, but scraping by to live given the terrible conditions of the very scarce vegetated areas that actually do exist.

As for Xineoph and more info on the story of how the two came together as one, let's first establish that while Phoenix brings life, represents and has the power of revival and rebirth, Xineohp on the other hand destroys life and represents death and can kill anything. As well as enforcing the idea that with Xineohp, death is permanent.
Shinkuken actually defeated Xineohp because his weapon can negate and disable healing abilities.
Thus, because of that, just like Xineohp, he too could slay something that was normally supposed to be immortal, and as a result, wound up gaining its power because of it.
And of course, there's a story behind that!

Xineohp spiritually fused with him, which also altered his appearance as well as a result.
You probably noticed the fiery faded hair on his braid and both the black feathers and the feathers with the fiery look to them that he adorns...those for instance were all added to his appearance because of that.
The really interesting part about it is...because of that fusion with Xineohp, now Shinkuken can't die.
Even though he "killed" Xineohp...in actuality, it cheated death and bound itself to him.

See, Xineohp refused to die physically, which would only be temporary for it anyway, as it too would rise again someday.
But its pride got in the way of having to resurrect for the very first time ever, due to its immortal soul being able to recreate a physical vessel again in time.
By doing so, and in that bold moment of pride (and desperation), it offered its power to Shinkuken.
But by "offered its power", I mean it kinda just forced itself to fuse with Shinkuken's body regardless of his wishes...

In short, Shinkuken can now kill anything and everything...you know, if he WANTS to...and live forever.
Which he could live forever before to an extent already due to being a vampire, and could negate and disable the healing abilities of something and kill them, despite their immortality.
Which is another interesting factor about him and Xineohp being "made for eachother" in terms of matched rivals, but even better together.
Because of Xineohp though, Shinkuken's now TECHNICALLY an Idol because he has one living inside of him/sharing his body with it. Shinkuken still makes all the decisions though, and it has no influence over him (despite Xineohp being a voice in his head from time to time)...thankfully.
Glad he's on our side, right? Or is he?...

You're probably thinking where does Shinkuken's morals lie, though?
Believe it or not, he's much more honorable than most may think. Despite being a ninja, he has the moral code of a samurai.
Hence why he's dubbed a "Roninja".
He has no master, so he lives his life more like a vagabond mercenary, but he still only does things that are right and just.
That's all part of his depth and volume to the character.
Sure he's a smartass and speaks as if he's breaking the 4th wall to amuse himself (he actually doesn't legitimately break the 4th wall, he just does it since people already think he's crazy when he talks to Xineohp because they don't hear him respond, which makes it come across like he's talking to himself), and being a mercenary has made him dabble in assassination, sure, but he always has good intentions.
That's what matters.

He just doesn't like to show off and use or abuse his powers. If he wanted to, he could just go around destroying life wherever he goes, turnin' things to ash and nothingness, but he doesn't. He's not that type of person.
Because as said, he prefers to use his power for good. Though, he does find it amusing to reference the fact in a facetiously threatening manner.
"Ya know, I could just as easily kill half the planet in a few minutes, but then who's gonna make dinner? Exactly. So, what's your stance on sam'miches? The world does needs more sam'miches."

"Look, if you don't bring me a hoagie, your life will just go poof, man. You don't wanna poof your life. There's better things to do with your life than to poof it all away."

And for the hell of it, here are some additional Shinkuken quotes:
"Whoa. I don't know where you got your looks, but I hope you kept the receipt!"
And
"What don't you understand about the term "honorable assassin"? It's not impossibibu, I'm just morally gymnastic. I'm goin' for the gold, baby!"

On Last Legend, which will cover his connection to the destruction of Olympolis (The Concrete Jungle) originally and his feeling guilty about it and wanting to try and still set things straight somehow, someday, because of that, by and large, during Last Legend, he's on the run as people suspect him to be abusing his power, and is the fabled and dangerous "Deathbringer" everyone's worried about. Which your crew is incredibly suspicious about and not exactly the most trusting in him because of his whole Death Phoenix connection...
They're admittedly pretty paranoid around him and not many fully trust him and think he's only acting nice and funny because he's being charismatic to lure them into a false sense of security.
Which does make you wonder...is that in fact the case?

For Shinkuken's appearance on Concrete Jungle and Hybrids of Steel, he'll actually tie in the Hybrids of Steel mechanics in his Concrete Jungle moveset.
Which, is having three different moveset types to switch between in battle on the fly.
So, in Shinkuken's case, the way he fights with his weapon would be the things to switch off between by a simple command.
* Using his weapon, The Shinkuken by varying its size between Kodachi, Katana, and Odachi.
*
Kusarigama-Supaikubōru. Which would be a Kusarigama (chain sickle) with a spiked ball on the other end of the chain that can trigger fiery detonations.
* Double Ended Katana that can break away into him being able to wield two katanas hanging on a chain that he can swing around (imagine a katana version of nunchucks).

Obviously there would be universal moves tied into all three movesets utilizing his fiery death powers, teleports, healing negation, and various ninja weaponry (like the flame carpet with caltrops).
