Ester and Hoppi

Description

This is Ester and Hoppi. They are both characters for Last Legend and Hybrids of Steel.
The latter of which they'd be playable on.
The little evil rabbit there named Hoppi carries around an egg that traps people's soul inside of it (aptly named The Soul Egg).
He can take people's souls.  Which mechanically would work by taking a portion of it, and they are slowed down by him doing so, and lose a special move, which Hoppi can then use against them.
He does so by creating a soul silhouette of that person he does that to, to do a special move of theirs back to them.
He can also use The Soul Egg to do a "Soul Hop".
Soul Hop is where he can send one of the acquired souls he's stolen over the years that resides inside the egg into a person.

Moveset-wise, since they'd be playable on Hybrids of Steel, they'd had 3 different movesets.
To run those down:
* Ester and Hoppi together (which would work like how Stands did on the old Capcom JoJo's game)
* Ester (Solo. REALLY fast and rushdown based)
* Hoppi (Solo. He'd be pretty technical and dependent on his Soul-related tricks, keepaway, and having a small hitbox)

A fun thing that Ester would be able to do in the moveset of the duo together and her solo, would be eat an actual carrot (randomized colors: orange, white, atomic red, cosmic purple, and yellow) that offer different buffs. But it's random as to which one she eats. So some can be more desirable than others.
I'm still not sure which color should be assigned to what buff yet, though.
Another for Ester and Hoppi together or Ester solo, is that she blows a bubblegum bubble that winds up being huge and traps the person in it, and then she with her drillots (or Hoppi if together) with his stick pops it, and then the person's all sticky and slowed down.

Now to harken back to the storyline stuff, Hoppi can send one of the stored souls into a person's body to possession them (one example is that he has a serial killer's soul stored in his collection and sending it into someone's body can make them do horrible, terrible things as a means of amusement, reason, or to frame them).
Hoppi himself can also Soul Hop into people's bodies, too (think kinda like Captain Ginyu). And then lead them to their death and leave their body moments before.
Gameplay-wise, he can use Soul Hop to send a suicidal person's soul into someone and make them hurt themselves, for instance. Or Soul Hop himself into his opponent's body for a few seconds and then you could basically just use them walk into attacks from a CPU controlled Hoppi.
Why? Because Hoppi's a dick. That's why.

I gave Hoppi Angora Rabbit styled fluffy hair covering his eyes and his ears tied together like a ponytail.
I thought that'd be unique. The bead necklace is a reference to Japanese soul warding, exorcising, and whatnot. The stick has ward papers on it.

Ester is basically like a mixture between the Spring Goddess of folklore and Ishtar.
Ishtar was the fertility goddess, and is kinda viewed as kinda chaotic neutral.
So, I think it fits really well for the pairing for her to be more neutral but her associations and such make her be a villain. Especially since Hoppi's her BFF, so she's like evil by association.
She's not wearing an outfit either, she's anthro-ish, like Felicia from Darkstalkers. So her "outfit" is in actuality made of her own fur. Even the bowtie.
Facially, I was inspired by Fran and the Viera race's rabbit-like facial features on Final Fantasy XII and its connected canon for her face.
And yes she wields drills that are stylized to look like carrots. I just thought that'd be a fun thing to do weapon-wise.

I want her to have her own island, called Ester Isle, that looks all bloomy and springtimey, with eggs scattered around (with some things hatching), and instead of the Moai head statues, they'll be rabbit heads.
Oh, and yellow birds flying around, which is a reference to the Peeps candy.
It will be oh so bright and cheerful, but that's because it's a massively false sense of security...

Their 8 palettes and the references some of them make are:
1st: Default
2nd: P2 Alt
3rd: Playboy Bunny-esque
4th: Rabbites from the Mana video game series
5th: Cuddles from Happy Tree Friends
6th: Buster and Babs Bunny from Tiny Toons
7th: Bugs Bunny and Lola Bunny

8th: Bucky O'Hare and Jazz the Jackrabbit

Oh yeah, and one more thing...HAPPY EASTER! :D
